What are Public Health England doing to combat Domestic Violence?

Public Health England is working to bring the issue of domestic violence to the forefront of social issue representation. This public health organisation vocalises the importance of domestic violence as a major epidemic within our society by organising various awareness events, through the use of Twitter and blogs, while urging everyone to sign the pledge to bring an end to domestic violence.

Our mission is to raise awareness and provide employers with practical support and tools to take positive action in the workplace.

“Work was my only safe place. When I told them what was going on they supported me wholeheartedly – everything from giving me a company car to go to counselling, time off to see lawyers, and they believed in me. Each person's journey is personal and full of dignity and grace. That's critical for people to know. And it's critical for people to know that they are not alone”
